LivingSeas Workshops

LivingSeas' unique approach to teaching is an ideal model for the demanding diver who wants to learn a new set of skills/knowledge, improve on their existing techniques/certification or just pick up some tips or tricks they can apply to their type of diving style. These workshops, or clinics are not designed to be pass/fail or to receive another c-card. They are designed for divers who desire extensive knowledge and skills in specialized sessions that are designed to bring out the best in your diving ability. The workshops are for divers that are seeking diving excellence without concerns for a pass/fail grade or new certification.

Who are workshops designed for?

LivingSeas' workshops are designed for all levels of divers, from all backgrounds, with multiple types of certification, but who feel dissatisfied with their current ability, skills or knowledge. Most LivingSeas workshops are entry level, require only open water or advanced certification from any agency. The reality is that the LivingSeas Workshop is designed to show you where your deficiencies lay and what you need to build or learn to enrich your diving proficiency. They will steer you towards diving excellence and not to just give you another certification card. You may already be certified but do you really have the skills? Did you really learn something during your certification class? A good example would be your Nitrox Class. You took your "Nitrox certification", you learned about all the the dangers of O2 and of course O2 tox. You might even have been required to dive, but did you learn any skills, or did you practice to improve existing skills? Important life-saving skills such as rescue techniques of a toxing diver. O2 Tox is the greatest danger in Nitrox diving but most classes ignore this critical skill in favor of focusing on academics and "best mix" formulas. Did you practice and demonstrate it to your instructor in order to receive certification? The answer generally is "No".  So, this is where our LivingSeas workshops will help. This is where we fill in the gaps. Gaps either in your knowledge or your skill.
