Courses
Living Seas offers the full range of PADI courses, along with GUE Recreational and Technical classes. Our main focus is ensuring that all students truly understand and feel comfortable with the material, so we've made sure that instructors see each class through from start to finish, and our schedules are planned to the student's convenience.
All courses are conducted with a maximum in-water ratio of 1 instructor to 4 students. All theory sessions are also instructor led, with ample discussion time guaranteeing that all questions are answered in the classroom.
Living Seas instructors are all active GUE technical divers as well, and we tend to teach what we know and how we dive, so there's a fair bit of information in our classes with knowledge gleaned from a wide range of experiences outside of the regular recreational diving arena.
Living Seas aims to be comprehensive in our pursuit of dive education, and apart from the recreational PADI curriculum, we also offer several workshops to introduce divers to various types of diving. We train divers in scooter diving, double tank and drysuit diving as well as in conservation efforts and equipment knowledge.

Living Seas PADI Courses
With the PADI Open Water class, we exceed the curriculum by emphasizing on buoyancy skills and awareness of the diver's surroundings. Our main aim is to ensure the student graduates the class feeling comfortable and self-sufficient in the water.
Our Advanced class takes the concept of buoyancy further and extends it to emcompass balance and trim in the water. We incorporate a theory and pool session with the course to introduce the student to a backplate and wing system and to practice propulsion and maneuvering techniques to allow students to feel in control of their movement in the water.
The Rescue course goes further with this base of knowledge and takes a preventative look at problems that occur during diving, exploring what these problems are and how best to prevent rather than only react to them when they occur.
The Living Seas Divemaster course is a comprehensive and detailed excursion into diving knowledge, from a discussion into the various responsibilities of leading divers to the science behind diving. At this stage, we take awareness and the ability to prevent issues very seriously, so a season long internship to practice and learn the intricacies of being in a leadership role is mandatory to excelling as a divemaster.

Living Seas GUE Courses
We are the only Singapore dive centre currently offering GUE classes. GUE courses are generally recognized as having the dive industry's most stringent and demanding standards.
The GUE Fundamentals course gives students the skills and techniques to be able to be in complete control in the water and takes a comprehensive look at the diver as a self-contained unit, exploring every single aspect of what affects the diver in the water. From pre-dive planning, to critically looking at equipment choice, to propulsion and maneuvering techniques, to team communication and emergency protocols, to even the gas that the diver breathes, every single component is explored in detail to understand what their risks and benefits are.
The GUE Technical Diver Level 1 and 2 courses take these skills and further refine them to bring the diver beyond recreational ranges. These courses introduce the equipment and gases necessary to do these sorts of dives and explores the risks and contingencies of decompression diving.
